kitten tests http://www.hdtvexpert.co.uk

www.hdtvexpert.co.uk have made a poor defenceless kitten test their website for second after second. Is this kitten abuse? We think not. You may notice him (Pete) yawn occasionally but overall he says the site is a jolly good read. And congratulations to Faithless on another cracking tune.

I purchased an hdtv lcd today and I currently have it hooked up with the 3 wire cable (red, yellow, white) and the quality is less than what I would expect. In order to get the best performance do I need to purchase an HD cable of some kind? Will that make a difference or is the quality pretty much the same?

WORKAROUND!… The latest patch update over Xbox Live does *NOT* fix this bug, but it does introduce a new feature in the Lag Calibration screen which allows us gamers to easily work around the problem. That is: Separate Audio and Video calibration settings. Not only that, but you now can adjust these values manually instead of having to strum 11 times in a slow paced calibration sequence. So, here’s how to use the workaround for those of us with high audio lag calibration and low video lag calibration. For this example, take 150ms as your Audio setting, and 0ms as you Video setting. When practicing on Full Speed, or playing the game normally, use the normal 150ms. When playing in practice, adjust your Audio setting to the following: Full Speed: 150ms Slow: 125ms Slower: 100ms Slowest: 75ms Here’s the formula: Slowest is exactly 1/2 speed of Full Speed, so cut your Audio calibration value in 1/2. 150ms / 2 = 75ms. for Slow and Slower, just split the difference… 1/3 of the way between the Slowest value and the Full Speed value. So that gives increments of 25ms in my example: 75ms, 100ms, 125ms, 150ms. The bug here is that we should not have to adjust our lag settings PER SPEED IN PRACTICE MODE. Lag settings are for our Audio/Video equipment and should not change just because we’re in practice mode. Guitar Hero 2 does not have this bug. If you have a high lag setting, you can play “in time” no matter what the practice mode speed without having to change your calibration
